Pulp Hero Press is not just a publisher of pulp fiction (and non-fiction): we have a lot of those books, and we like them, but we have plenty more, too. Comics, gaming, and film, for example. And genre fiction (and non-fiction about genre fiction). And boxing. There’s even some rock-and-roll. It’d make more sense if we had called ourselves Pop Culture Press, but it was taken. Besides, we’ve grown partial to the square-jawed pulp hero in our logo.
Larry Watkin was an American film writer and producer who wrote the screenplays for several Disney films, including Treasure Island, Darby O’Gill and the Little People, and The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men.
Watkin’s first novel, On Borrowed Time, won the National Book Award. It was later adapted into a film starring Lionel Barrymore and Sir Cedric Hardwicke.
