
David C. Smith
David C. Smith is the author of 28 novels and numerous short stories, many of them part of his ongoing Attluman cycle, which features his sword-and-sorcery protagonist Oron. He is the author of the respected fantasy trilogy The Fall of the First World and the recent mainstream novels Coven House, Dark Muse, and Bright Star, as well as an English grammar textbook, Understanding English.
Smith won the 2018 Atlantean Award from the Robert E. Howard Foundation for Outstanding Achievement, Book, for Robert E. Howard: A Literary Biography.
Now retired after a nearly 30-year career as a medical editor, Smith works part time as a freelance editor and continues to write fiction and articles. He lives in Palatine, Illinois, with his wife, Janine, and their daughter, Lily.
